Our 2023 DEIB Survey sought to understand, listen, and learn from our employees to propel meaningful change. We aimed to capture insights that would serve as the foundation for actionable initiatives, enabling us to strengthen our commitment to DEIB and create an even more supportive environment for everyone at Schoox. The response was tremendous, reflecting our collective dedication to making Schoox an even better place to work.

Based on the valuable feedback received, we’ve identified three key initiatives that will drive positive change at Schoox:
- Improving Diversity Representation: We’re committed to fostering an environment that celebrates diversity in all its forms. Through targeted efforts and initiatives, we’re dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and ensuring a workplace that reflects the world around us.
- Ensuring Equitable Career Progression Practices: Equity is fundamental to our ethos. We’re focused on creating a level playing field where opportunities for career progression are accessible to all, irrespective of background, identity, or experiences.
- Ensuring Pay Equity: Fairness is at the core of everything we do. Our commitment to pay equity underscores our dedication to providing fair and equitable compensation, ensuring that each individual’s contributions are valued and respected.
Building on Strengths
Before Schoox conducted its first DEIB survey, we were already making strides towards a more inclusive environment. Our existing initiatives, some of which are listed below, have laid a solid foundation for our strategies ahead.
- “Count Me In,” a program designed to build a shared language around DEIB, to cultivate self and collective awareness, to impart an understanding of how DEIB translates into workplace dynamics, to inspire the courage to embody DEIB principles while embracing room for growth, and to pave a meaningful pathway for Schoox members at every level to integrate DEIB into their work approach
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities that promote the principles of DEIB
- Communication channels like Slack to nurture cross-cultural understanding, to share DEIB-related education and insights, and to create a dedicated space to discuss issues affecting the world
- A dynamic intranet platform that offers access to DEIB-related content, timely news feeds, events, and valuable resources
- A thoughtfully crafted DEIB style guide to foster a cohesive grasp of inclusive language we can use both within Schoox and while engaging with external stakeholders
These and other initiatives have led to positive shifts in our workplace culture, reflecting our unwavering dedication to progress.
