SCHOOX COMMUNITY TERMS & CODE OF CONDUCT
Welcome to the Schoox Community!
The Schoox Community (“Community“) is a collaborative space for Schoox users to start discussions, ask question, share experiences, and resolve inquiries.Schoox encourages all participants to leverage the collaborative benefits of this Community by connecting with peers, collaborating on discussions, and sharing helpful solutions.
While we welcome all Schoox users to engage in the Community, we require participants to adhere to the following terms and Code of Conduct to maintain a “Safe For Work“, respectful, and helpful environment.
Conduct Standards. All visitors and contributors to the Community pledge to make participation in the Community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, disability, ethnicity, sex characteristics, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.
Appropriate conduct:
- Communicate professionally. Use welcoming, courteous and inclusive language.
- Be respectful. Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.Treat others the way that you want to be treated.If you disagree with another participant’s contribution, please do so in a constructive and respectful manner.
- Be helpful. Your participation in the Community is what makes it a successful resource for everyone.Please provide helpful and meaningful contributions, and refrain from posting false or misleading information.
- Search first. Before starting a new discussion, search the Community to ensure that the topic has not already been addressed in an existing discussion.
- Post in the relevant forum. Post your discussion in the forum that most closely relates to your topic.This helps ensure relevant content is easily accessible and visible to the appropriate subject matter experts.
- Be kind and appreciate others. Show kindness and appreciation towards other Community participants.Acknowledge when a reply is helpful by marking it as the accepted solution or giving it a thumbs-up.
- Use discretion .Remember that your situation or configuration may be different from the person sharing a solution.Use good judgment and verify that someone else’s recommendations apply to your situation before relying on them.
Unacceptable conduct:
- No rude language or trolling. Refrain from using demeaning, rude, or vulgar language or hate speech of any kind. Do not post harassing messages, insulting or derogatory comments, unwelcome sexual advances or sexualized language or imagery, or personal or political attacks.Schoox does not condone or tolerate harassment of any kind.
- No expectation of privacy. Keep in mind that the information you post in the Community is public and there is no expectation of privacy.Do not publish your own sensitive personally identifiable information (such as your physical address, phone number, government-issued ID number, etc.), and do not post anyone else’s contact information without their explicit permission.
- No spam or inappropriate promotions. Do not spam the Community with promotional or commercial content.Do not post material for the express purpose of lead generation to benefit your own company, product or services when the content shared is off-topic or does not add value to the Community.
- No catfishing or bots. Do not engage in behavior that undermines the authenticity of the Community.Do not use fake profiles, impersonate other people or entities, post false or misleading information, or use automated or scripting processes to boost account engagement.
- No IP infringement. Do not post other people’s work as if it is your own or otherwise violate any intellectual property rights or confidentiality of any third party.When you post content to the Community, you warrant and represent to Schoox and to other Community participants that you have the right to do so.
- No unprofessional conduct. Do not engage in any conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.Do not publish anything in the Community that is NSFW.
Compliance with the Acceptable Use Policy. Your participation in the Community is subject to Schoox’s Acceptable Use Policy at all times, which is accessible on Schoox’s website at www.schoox.com/legal.
Usernames. Usernames, profiles and avatars must meet the “Safe For Work” standard and should not contain any misleading or confusing words.Usernames may not contain the word “Schoox” and avatars may not include the Schoox logo.
Enforcement.
- Participation is a Privilege. Participation in the Community is subject to Schoox’s discretion.Schoox reserves the right to remove any participant from the Community in its sole discretion.
- Moderators. Schoox’s designated Community moderators (the “Moderators“) are responsible for clarifying the standards of acceptable behavior and are expected to take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any instances of unacceptable behavior.
- Complaints. Instances of abusive, harassing, or otherwise unacceptable behavior may be reported by contacting a Moderator through the “Report” function in the Community. All complaints will be reviewed and investigated and will result in a response that is deemed necessary and appropriate to the circumstances. Schoox will maintain confidentiality with regards all incident reports. Further details of specific enforcement policies may be posted separately.
- Removal. Moderators have the right and responsibility to remove, edit, or reject any comments, content and other contributions that are not aligned with this Code of Conduct, or to ban temporarily or permanently any contributor for other behaviors that a Moderator deems inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.
Your Relationship to Schoox. If you use a Schoox account registered to your employer or other organization, you should ensure that you have such organization’s consent before participating in the Community.You should also be sure to follow such organization’s social media policies, if applicable, at all times.Nothing about your participation in the Community will create any agency, joint venture, sponsorship, endorsement, employment or other relationship between you and Schoox, your employer or organization and Schoox, or any other affiliation with Schoox.You are not entitled to, and Schoox is not obligated to pay you (or your employer or organization), compensation of any kind for your voluntary participation or submissions in the Community.
License to Schoox. Each participant grants Schoox a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right and license to use all submissions to the Community in connection with Schoox’s business.Each participant represents and warrants that they have all rights necessary to grant the foregoing license.
Disclaimer of Warranties. Schoox provides participants with access to the Community on an “AS IS” basis.Schoox makes no warranties (express, implied, statutory or otherwise) with respect to the Community or any information published in the Community, and disclaims all warranties, including, but not limited to, warranties of accuracy, availability, satisfactory quality, non-infringement, fitness for a particular purpose, and any warranties arising out of any course of dealing or trade usage.We do not guarantee that access to the Community will be uninterrupted or error free, or that any content or data will be secure or not lost or altered.Nothing in this Code of Conduct will be deemed to alter or modify any Service Agreement between Schoox and a customer.
Discontinuation of the Community. Schoox reserves the right to discontinue the Community at any time.In such event, we will do our best to provide advance notice to all Community participants by posting an announcement in the Community.
Updates. Schoox reserves the right to modify this Code of Conduct from time to time by posting updates in the Community.This Code of Conduct was last updated on the date indicated above.
