L&D leaves too little budget for improving worker performance, study says

A RedThread Research report licensed by Schoox, “Developing Frontline Workers: Focus Where It Counts, ” reveals organizations over-invest in compliance training while neglecting performance improvement and skill development for frontline workers. The study identified three key domains organizations must balance for optimal results from their learning programs: training to keep operations running, training that improves productivity, and training for career advancement. Although leaders recognize the imbalances within their organizations, researchers found that companies leave insufficient resources for training that boosts skills, improves performance, and prepares employees for future challenges.
